AlGo Direct is a product that removes string algae quickly and reliably by releasing active oxygen. This makes it extremely effective, as the algae is killed off in a very short amount of time and can then be removed easily using a pond net. Any remaining algae is biologically decomposed by microorganisms.
 
Before using AlGo Direct, please make sure that the pH value of your pond is between 6.5 and 8.5 (you can use the 6in1 QuickStick to check), and that the KH value is above 3° dH. You can measure this by immersing the test strips provided for approximately one second, shaking lightly and reading after one minute. If your KH value is ≤ 3° dH (for example if you use rainwater), you will need to harden first with Oase OptiPond.
 
To use AlGo Direct, remove as much algae as possible before application. Then, evenly scatter 50ml per 1000L of pond volume over the algae nests. Do NOT sprinkle on aquatic plants. Allow the product to take effect for 1 to 2 hours. If algae start to grow again, repeat the dosage, but wait at least three days before doing so. Please take note of the safety interval of at least 12 hours if using in swimming ponds.
