These modules are equipped with Hel-X, a type of biomedia that provides a large surface area for the growth of beneficial bacteria. These bacteria help to eliminate harmful toxins such as ammonium, ammonia, nitrite, and nitrate from the water. When an aerator pump like the Oase AquaOxy is connected to the integrated aerator in the module, it creates turbulence. This agitation helps in the movement of Hel-X, making it more efficient and also contributes to oxygenating the water, thereby improving the water quality overall.

To achieve optimal biological filtration results, install this filter module after the Moving Bed Modules and before the Individual Module on Oase ProfiClear Premium L modular filtration systems. The module connects to the ProfiClear Premium L Moving Bed Module via two large inlet connections on the front of the module and to the Individual Module via the same inline ports on the back of the module. Moreover, the module has air pipe inlets and built-in aeration elements that allow an Air Pump to be connected to supply oxygen to the ClearWave Blocks media, which further boosts water-cleaning filter bacteria activity.
