This underlay is UV, rot, and weather-resistant, making it safe for all pond and marine life. It's crucial to use a puncture-resistant underlay to protect your flexible pond liner. The underlay should be laid on the base and sides of the newly constructed pond before the liner is installed. If the ground is stony, it's advisable to remove any visible stones and cover the pond base with two inches of sand before laying the underlay.

To calculate the size of the liner and fleece for your pond, you should use a rope. Follow these steps for accurate measurements:
 
1. Measure the maximum length of your pond and add twice the maximum depth of your pond. Then, add an extra meter for the edging.
 
2. Measure the maximum width of your pond and add twice the maximum depth of your pond. Then, add an extra meter for the edging.
 
For example, if your pond is 8 meters long, 4 meters wide, and 1 meter deep, you will need a liner that measures 11 meters by 7 meters.
